Zain Smith

Zain has an M.S in Intelligent Systems Engineering from the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University and a B.S in Computer/Cyber-Physical Systems Engineering with a mathematics minor. Zain is interested in applying engineering techniques to create embedded systems that study animal/environmental behaviors in the ocean biome, solve oceanographic problems, and gather information about the environment to produce sustainable solutions. She loves hiking, snorkeling, and hopes to pick up surfing soon. She is currently volunteering in the CRE lab with the plan to gain training and skills to ultimately start her PhD with Daniel.
