Mekayli Claros

B.s/M.s student, UC San Diego, CA, USA

Mekayli Claros is a current BS/MS student getting her degree in marine biology. She has her BS from UCSD in marine biology and also double minored in environmental systems and mechanical engineering. She has been with the lab for 3 years, assisting with coral maintenance, material substrate development, and 3D ceramic printing. Her masters project will involve the study of crustose coralline algae growth with some of the technologies from the lab. In her free time, she works as an Educator at the Birch Aquarium and enjoys dancing and all things Disney!
