Aiden Beaupain

B.s/M.s student, UC San Diego, CA, USA

Aiden is currently enrolled in the BS/MS program in Marine Biology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), UC San Diego, where he also earned his B.S. in Marine Biology. He started with the lab as a volunteer, assisting with material substrate design and coral tank maintenance. His master’s project aims to investigate anti-bleaching and anti-fouling mechanisms that reduce coral stress and enhance growth. In his study abroad at the University of Queensland, Australia, Aiden gained scuba diving experience and participated in student-led research projects at the Heron Island Research Institute. When he’s not studying the marine environment, he’s out catching waves.
