Pedro Pimenta
Pedro is a graduate student focusing on the topological optimization of hybrid reef structures to enhance coral survivability and coastal protection. He is interested in the interaction between larger-scale hydrodynamics and micro-habitats, exploring how these dynamics affect coral ecosystems. Pedro earned his B.SE in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University and is a current MS student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, photography, and traveling.
